Recipe for chicken pie

Ingredients


6 fl oz milk 
1 tablespoon of cornflower
1 vegetable oxo cubes 1
3½ oz of chicken strips (cook from frozen) 
1 oz diced swede
1oz diced carrots 
15 oz sweetcorn 
¼ of a small onion 
A pinch of garlic powder
A pinch of parsley 
A pinch of pepper to taste

Serves four persons.

Method

  • Place milk, chicken, carrots, swede, onion, sweetcorn,
    parsley and garlic in a saucepan bring to boil
  • Add vegetable oxo cube
  • Lower to simmer
  • Mix cornflower with a little water and then add this to the milk
    stock, stirring all the time
  • Place in steamer and steam until 40 minutes before
    it is ready to serve
  • Place pastry on top and bake it in oven
