Courses are or will be available for multi-agency staff as follows:
Half-day Mental Capacity Act in practice – To allow participants to refresh their knowledge and experience of the MCA, prior to DOLS training. This training is already available.
Half-day DOLS foundation – For all staff who will need to know about DOLS as part of their work
Full day DOLS for managing authorities – For hospital and care home managers to understand their role within the safeguards and to get an understanding of local policy and procedure.
A range of bespoke training packages are being arranged for staff groups or agencies that have specific functions within the safeguards.
