Beef, tomato and cheese crumble

Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2lb 5oz) minced beef
  • 2 large onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 beef stock cubes
  • 0.5 kg (18 oz) tin of tomatoes
  • Worcester sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 16g (8oz) plain flour
  • 16g (8oz) margarine
  • 8g (4oz) grated cheese

Method

  • Fry off in large saucepan minced beef and 2 large onions (previously finely chopped)
  • When brown, add 2 beef stock cubes and tin of tomatoes (chopped)
  • Add a couple of tablespoons of Worcester sauce and salt and pepper to taste
  • When mixed together simmer in saucepan for approximately 30 – 45 minutes
  • To make crumble: Rub together the flour, margarine and grated cheese in bowl
  • Pour beef mixture into ovenproof tin/dish and top with cheese crumble
  • Cook, in centre of a medium oven until brown
