The following is a list of awards available from the South Gloucestershire youth service to recognise young people's achievements in informal settings such as youth centres.
Youth Challenge
Age range 11-13
Level: Participate
Time commitment: 6 activities of 5 hours each

Level: Help organise
Time commitment: 6 activities of 5 hours each

Age range 14-25
Level: Bronze (participates)
Time commitment: 4 challenges of 15 each plus planning, reviewing, recording
Certificate for each completed challenge.

Level: Silver (helps organise)
Time commitment: 6 challenges of 15 each plus planning, reviewing, recording
Certificate for each completed challenge.

Level: Gold (organises)
Time commitment: 8 challenges of 15 each including a presentation plus planning, reviewing, recording

Time commitment: Personal development plan, training, delivery, etc.

South Gloucestershire Award for Young People
Age range 11-25
Level: Participate
Time commitment: 10 x 3 hours units
Recorded outcome and certificate for completion of each unit. Nationally recognised accredited outcome, accredited by ASDAN on completion of whole award
Duke of Edinburgh Award
Age range 14+
Level: Bronze
Time commitment: 3 months for each of the 3 sections (skills, service, recreation) plus expedition (1 night)
Accredited outcome for each section and for the whole award (nationally recognised)
Age range 15+
Level: Silver
Time commitment: 6 months for each section plus 3 months on either skills or recreation plus expedition (2 nights)
Accredited outcome for each section and for the whole award (nationally recognised)
Age range 16+
Level: Gold
Time commitment: 12 months for each section plus 6 months in either skills or recreation, plus expedition (3 nights) plus residential (4 nights)
