How will children's centres on school sites affect the school?
SureStart children's centres on school sites will be managed entirely separately from the school, subject to a written agreement with the school about issues like security and access. There should be no impact on the day-to-day running of the school. The centres must be within reasonable distance and provide outreach support to those families who find it difficult to access existing services. It is therefore not anticipated that there will be any significant increase in traffic congestion or parking requirements that would affect either the school or the local area.
