Cattle passports

 A cattle passport is a government-issued document which states an animal's:
  • Date of birth
  • Official ear tag number
  • Ear tag number of the dam
  • Breed
  • Sex

All cattle born after 1st July 1996 must have a passport. The passport stays with the animal throughout its life and includes all movements and changes of ownership.
