The Council is no longer able to offer a minor amendment procedure as recent national Court rulings have established that Councils do not have the power to agree to minor changes to approved planning schemes other than through consideration of a re-submitted formal planning application.
Therefore, if you wish to make minor or other changes to an approved scheme within the time limit of the original permission you will need to make a new formal planning application. This application will need to include:
• Completed forms
• Completed certificates
• Completed plans (full set)
• Details of the changes proposed highlighted or listed
• Any applicable fee. Applicants may benefit from a free go if the application is submitted within twelve months of the original application and is of the same character and description. Please contact the Planning office for further advice.
• Any other requirement as set out in the Council’s published schedule of Planning Application requirements (from April 2008)
