Housing options and homelessness advice

If you are homeless, or you are worried that you might become homeless, the Council can offer you help and advice. It is important that you try and deal with any problems as soon as they arise. If you currently live in a property, you should get advice before you leave your present home, as we may be able to help you keep your accommodation, or help you find another home.

The links on this page provide information on a wide range of issues including advice on renting privately and what you can do if you are suffering from harassment in your home.

If you would like to speak to a member of the HomeChoice team, please come to our drop-in service Monday to Friday 9.00 - 3pm at:

Civic Centre, High Street , Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, BS15 9TR

You can also telephone us on our duty line number. See 'Contact information' for our telephone and email details.

If you become homeless outside these times, you can ring the Social Services Emergency Duty Team on 01454 615165. If you lose your home through fire, flood, or violence, you may wish to call the Police.
