The Employment Support Service can help people with learning difficulties aged 18 and over living in South Gloucestershire to get work.
We can offer help and advice to you, your carers and employers.
Having a job isn't just about getting money, it can be a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and improve your confidence.
We can help you get ready for work by:
- Finding out what type of work is for you, and what training you might need
- Doing a detailed assessment of your strengths and the things you need support with
- Looking for work and helping with applying for jobs (filling out application forms and making phone calls)
- Preparing for interviews
- Advising you about money and benefits and supporting you to get a benefit calculation
- Supporting you with any training you may need to be able to get to and from work independently
- Look at any extra support you need to help you when you are in the job
