Patchway and Bradley Stoke community development
Patchway and Bradley Stoke community development project runs a range of projects which include detached youth work, a young mums' group and other projects for young people. Its children's fund activities are three afterschool clubs at Coniston School. These are run weekly for children in infants' classes, in years 3 and 4 as well as 5 and 6. The community development project also runs 'Urspace', a junior youth club for children from years 5 to 7. This is run at Patchway Youth Centre on Saturday afternoons. It offers structured activities and aims to build bridges between children from the different schools in Patchway and between the primary schools and Patchway Community College. The groups offer children the opportunity to take part in creative and constructive activities, reducing the risk of them becoming involved in anti-social behaviour.
