You may be entitled to council tax benefit if you: - Are working or not
- Are employed or self-employed
- Are single or have a partner
- Are a pensioner
- Live alone and get a discounted council tax bill
- Own or rent your home
- Have not paid any national insurance contributions.
However, you must:
- Be the person responsible for paying the council tax
- Occupy the dwelling as your home
- Be entitled to Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance or have a low income
