Older and disabled people

We provide services to help people aged 65 and over live as independently as possible. These services are also available to disabled people and include:
  • Community meals
  • Home care such as meal preparation, washing and help getting up from, and to bed
  • Residential care
  • Day services such as day centres
  • A personal alarm system 
  • Adaptations and help with day to day activities (Occupational Therapy see 'More on this topic' for the Occupational Therapy page) 

There may be a charge for these services.

We also provide services for people with visual impairments and for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. More information about these services is available on this page.
