You can also find out where new homes and industries will be built under the Local Plan, the Local Development Framework and the Minerals and Waste Local Plan. These plans must meet national, regional and local planning policy.
Through 'Search planning applications' you can find out about current and decided planning applications and through the 'Local connection' you can find details about planning history and constraints affecting specific sites or areas.
Current regional policy is set out in Regional Planning Guidance for the South West and strategic policy in the Joint Replacement Structure Plan. These plans will shortly be replaced by the Regional Spatial Strategy.
