Inspection of building work

To make sure that building work meets building regulations, we carry out a number of inspections. When you have a planned start date, you should let us know, giving us at least two working days of notice. At the start of the project a building control surveyor may call. They will introduce themselves, discuss the project and answer any questions you may have. This inspection is the first of up to ten inspection stages. These stages of inspection and the period of notice you need to give us is listed below:
