The Get Recognised Award
Who is it for?
What do you have to do?
- Take part in a range of activities to complete 6 units. The units cover: Personal Development, Community/Volunteering, Group Activity, Skills, Issue Based Learning and Problem solving each of these units will take 5 hours to complete
- Complete record sheets to show what you have achieved, this can be done by a youth worker on your behalf
- This is a useful scheme to work with young people who find it difficult to concentrate for long periods of time or commit to bigger projects
- Activities can include organising a pool competition, learning to play football, dancing, swimming, taking part in DJing workshops, designing a poster, deciding as a group where to go for the next youth club trip
What do you get?
- After completing each unit you get a certificate issued by the accreditation workers. After completing all the units and showing some evidence of what you've done, you will receive a Get Recognised Award for Young People certificate
- The Get Recognised Award for Young People is accredited by ASDAN (Award Scheme and Development Accreditation Network) and is nationally recognised
