Who is it for?

  • Young people aged 11-25

What do you have to do?

  • Take part in a range of activities to complete 3 units.  The units cover: Issue Based Learning, Skills and Personal Development. Each of these units will take 10 hours to complete.
  • Complete record sheets to show what you have achieved, this can be done by a youth worker on your behalf.
  • Activities such as organising a pool competition, learning to play football, dancing, swimming, taking part in DJing workshops, designing a poster, deciding as a group where to go for the next youth club trip.

This is a useful scheme to work with young people who find it difficult to concentrate for long periods of time or commit to bigger projects

What do you get?

  • After completing each unit you get a certificate issued by the accreditation workers. After completing all the units and showing some evidence of what you've done, you will receive a South Gloucestershire Award for Young People certificate.
  • The South Gloucestershire Award for Young People is accredited by ASDAN (Award Scheme and Development Accreditation Network) and is nationally recognised.
