The courses are run by business experts who can provide advice on the viability of your idea, finding your market, finances, business plans, IT and much more. The Start Up Donut is an online resource for emerging businesses and contains a wealth of information including forums, and useful information on tax, finances and legalities of setting up a business. Please see the web link opposite.

Finance and grants
South Gloucestershire Council subscribe to a grant finding service called GRANTnet. This database holds information on grants available for new and existing businesses from EU and UK sources. Please see the web link opposite for more information.
Business Link have access to grant and funding information and other financial advice. There are regularly run local courses on taxes, insurance, book-keeping, pay roll and employing people.
The Bristol Enterprise Development Fund (BEDF) can provide start up loans for small businesses and social enterprises and can be contacted on 0117 944 4700 or info@bedf.co.uk
