This memorial was erected by public subscription in 1922 on slightly raised ground and has a flower border. It is in the form of a 14ft high cross of ortland stone, engraved with three symbols - a dove, a tree and a whale above a square plinth inscribed with the names of 21 servicemen killed during WWI and 2 servicemen who died during WWII. In 2005 the parish council refurbished this memorial and inserted a new panel of Portland stone with the WWI names inscribed afresh.
