Aims and Objectives of the Shared Lives South Gloucestershire
Shared Lives Scheme in South Gloucestershire aims to promote the right of individuals to live an ordinary and independent life in the community and to enjoy all the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. This can be achieved by enabling access to a range of high quality services. Shared Lives will give the service user the opportunity to share in the daily life of the SL Carer and their community. Shared Lives staff and SL Carers are committed to promoting the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of the people in the scheme and to keeping them safe from abuse or harm by providing a safe environment. The scheme actively promotes the principles set out in Valuing People, the Adult Placement Scheme Regulations and Minimum Standards.
