Fans of Dr Who are in for a treat over the Easter school holidays as the newly-refurbished Yate library hosts an exciting Dr Who-themed exhibition.
The exhibition, which runs from 1 to 18 April and coincides with the launch of the latest series of the hit show, will include the Doctor’s robotic canine companion K9, as well as some his worst enemies including the Supreme Dalek, a Cyberman and even a clockwork woman from 18th Century Versailles!
The highlight of the exhibition will be the guest appearance of a live Dalek on Saturday 17 April who will answer questions, pose for photographs and hopefully not exterminate anyone between 10am to noon and 2pm to 4pm.
Cllr Heather Goddard, executive member for communities, said: “My family have always been fans of the Dr Who series and I am really looking forward to seeing the costumes and meeting a real live Dalek! I know that children and adults alike will be very excited about this exhibition which is just one of a wide range of fabulous activities planned at the recently refurbished Yate library.”
