PAUL'S PLACE

Enhancing Social Life for Disabled People in South Gloucestershire. Paul's Place have in excess of 100 members at their day facility with new members joining weekly all over South Gloucestershire and Bristol. They organise a wide range of activities: social groups, trips to theatre/bowling/ cinema/pub and restaurant meals, shopping and sometimes just coffee and a chat.

Paul's Place exists:

To support and facilitate physically disabled adults
To provide a safe social environment
To promote independence whenever possible
To provide a support plan, which will enable physically disabled adults to reach their full potential
To provide a programme of individual and group activities
To give physically disabled adults the opportunity to create their own environment

Our Vision:

By 2013 we will be recognised by local government, its agencies and the people of South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset, and Bristol as a centre of excellence for physically, sensory and cognitively impaired adults.

We will have safe, well run day facilities filled with fun and laughter and increasing numbers of members, and an expanding programme of support for those who need care in their homes, and for their carers.

We will be seen, as we are now, as an organisation that gives from the heart, that really cares, and which makes a big difference to people’s lives. These values will remain core to everything we do, now and in the future.

We operate our day facility from Coalpit Heath Cricket Club, Serridge Lane, Henfield Road, Coalpit Heath BS36 2TT, and due to the generosity of the Peoples Millions Lottery money in 2009 we were able adapt building for disabled access.

We are now fundraising towards a purpose built extension incorporating a wet room, separate quite spaces and incorporating the office.
