Bus companies can make changes to their services by giving eight weeks' notice to the Traffic Commissioner and the Council. Under certain circumstances, the Traffic Commissioner can give permission for changes at shorter notice.

Starting 27th November 2011
635 The timetable is revised to reflect traffic conditions between Bristol City Centre and Kingswood. Several journeys from Bristol in the Chippenham direction are altered to depart 5 minutes earlier than currently. On Saturdays the 1700 journey from Bristol continues beyond Marshfield to Chippenham on request.
Starting 20th November 2011
6 The section of route between Kingswood, Cecil Road and Longwell Green (Aspects) is withdrawn. Changes to service 44 (see below) provide alternative and more frequent links between Kingswood Town Centre and the Hanham area.
18 & 19 Following an initial review of Services 18 and 19 with the operator, all journeys will run as Service 18. The southern part of Emersons Green and Mangotsfield regains a 30 minute frequency on Mondays to Fridays in response to requests. Although withdrawal of the 19 means the loss of a direct service to the Science Park and Treatment Centre at Emersons Green, passengers can interchange at Emersons Green (Sainsburys) with Service 30 which links those places. Due to low passenger demand and to maintain reliability, service 18 no longer diverts at Abbey Wood into the MOD site. Passengers are advised to use alternative bus stops at Sainsburys or Great Stoke Way.
42 An hourly evening and Sunday service is introduced in response to requests. Evening journeys will also serve Aspects at Longwell Green to maintain links from the Kingswood and Oldland areas to that location.
43 The evening and Sunday frequency is reduced from every 30 minutes to hourly. However, with the introduction of hourly buses on Service 42, a 30 minute frequency is retained along the common section of route between Kingswood Town Centre and Bristol City Centre.
44 The existing route is followed between the City Centre and Whittucks Road in Hanham and then altered to run along Hanham High Street, Lower Hanham Road and Hanham Road to terminate at Cecil Road in Kingswood. This provides a more frequent (every 20 minutes in daytimes) link between the Hanham area and Kingswood and replaces the section of Service 6 along Hanham Road and in Hanham Common. The change to the 44 route also creates a new direct link between the Nags Head Hill neighbourhoods and Kingswood. The existing section of the 44 route between Hanham (The Blue Bowl) and Cadbury Heath is withdrawn and replaced by changes to the 45 (see below). During the evenings and on Sundays an hourly service is introduced on both Services 42 and 44 and these facilities replace existing service 44A. During the daytime on Sundays service 44 is now operated on a commercial basis i.e. without financial support from the Council.
45 The route is extended beyond the current daytime terminus in Cadbury Heath to Longwell Green, Aspects via Parkwall Road, Wraxall Road, Craven Way and Marsham Way. This retains links to the City Centre and Hanham from neighbourhoods in the Craven Way area that were formerly served by the 44. It also gives more frequent daytime services from Hanham and Cadbury Heath to Aspects. Buses run hourly in the evenings and on Sundays and replace the 44A. During the daytime on Sundays service 45 is now operated on a commercial basis i.e. without financial support from the Council.
Starting 30th October 2011
309, 310 On Mondays to Saturdays the daytime frequency is unchanged but the timetables are revised to address punctuality issues. On Mondays to Fridays the journey at 0550 from Bristol to Thornbury is advanced to 0545. The journey at 0650 (Mondays to Fridays) from Bristol to Thornbury is advanced to 0640 with guaranteed connection at Thornbury with service 311 towards Dursley. The journey at 0710 (Monday to Friday) from Bristol to Thornbury is advanced to 0705. The journey at 0606 (Monday to Friday) Thornbury, Health Centre to Bristol is advanced to 0600 to provide an earlier first arrival into Bristol.
311 The timetable is revised as a consequence of changing the route in the Dursley area so that buses operate direct between the town centre and Cam instead of running via Cam and Dursley Station. Certain early morning journeys are also retimed to provide connections at Thornbury to/from Bristol on services 309 and 310.
327 An additional evening journey is introduced at 1935 (Saturdays) and 1940 (Mondays to Fridays) from Yate Shopping Centre to Bristo.
342, X42 The following alterations all apply to journeys on Mondays to Fridays: The journey at 0600 from Chipping Sodbury to Bristol is advanced by 10 minutes to depart at 0550, in response to requests for an earlier first arrival into Bristol. The journey on X42 at 0833 from Chipping Sodbury to Bristol is withdrawn and passengers are advised to use the 0837 journey from Chipping Sodbury on Service 342 instead (arrives Bristol Bus Station at 0946). The 1820 journey from Bristol Bus Station (342) is altered to depart at 1825.
X14 Journeys operated by First will operate non-stop between Bristol, Bus Station and Cribbs Causeway, Bus Station. The change is to allow buses to take an alternative route in the event of traffic conditions delaying the service.
X25 Journeys from Weston-super-Mare leave from the High Street instead of Marine Parade.
Starting 10th October 2011
960 The route and timetable are altered as a consequence of the imposition of an emergency weight restriction in part of Church Road, Frampton Cotterell.
Starting 3rd October 2011
X2C The operator has applied to the Traffic Commisioner to withdraw this service from this date.
