Continuing Support Services (CSS) is a team that works with young people who have left care. The team is made up of 3 after-care workers and 4 after-care support workers. The team have a duty to stay in touch with all of their care-leavers at least 4 times a year, agree with the care-leaver how often they want us to visit and also what they would like help with. The CSS team helps care-leavers until the age of 21 or 24 if they are in higher education. The things the CSS team can help you with include:
- Budgeting
- Benefits
- How to pay your bills
- Working out a housework routine
- Moving into your own place
- Where to go for specialised advice like information on debt
- Advice on education, training and employment
- How to keep your tenancy
