Learning Difficulties Development Fund

The Learning Difficulties Development Fund (LDDF) is money to help make Valuing People happen.

Each year the Government says how much money Learning Difficulties Partnership Boards will be given and the priority areas the money should be spent on. This year 2009 - 2010 the priority areas are:

  • Improvement in healthcare and the reduction of health inequalites
  • Increase the range of housing options for people with learning difficulties and their families, including closure of NHS campuses
  • To increase employment opportunities for people with learning difficulties
  • Personalisation
  • These are the big priorities in Valuing People Now. This work will be done with Learning Difficulties Partnership Boards. It means that Partnership Boards will be involved in decisions about local services.
