The grants provide financial support to organisations and individuals who wish to create or expand the number of childcare places they offer and to those organisations who are experiencing short-term funding issues.

Eligibility criteria and application forms
Eligibility criteria and application forms for all the SureStart grants are available by contacting the grants administrator on 01454 863394.
Support to complete application forms
The Early Years Business Finance Section and Childrens Playlink provide support for organisations and individuals who wish to apply for any of the SureStart grants.
For support to complete the cashflow forecast and finance-related information, contact the business and financial development worker on 01454 862368.
For support to complete all non-financial information contact Childrens Playlink on 01454 865631.
Value of funding
The amount of funding that can be awarded for the creation of new or expansion of current childcare places is dependent on:
- The location of the provider
- The type of organisation
- The length of time open
Additional funding can be awarded if the postcode of an organisation or individual matches a postcode in a disadvantaged area. These postcodes can be viewed in the 'Read more' section of this page.
