Biodiversity

Forest scene with bluebells

Biodiversity is the richness of life on Earth, the variety of species and their habitats that together create the environment which sustains us.

South Gloucestershire Council runs and supports many projects to encourage those living and working here to enjoy their special wildlife and natural heritage. We have prepared a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) which sets out the action required to protect and enhance our priority species and habitats.
