Bailiffs should carry identity cards. They are unable to force entry into your property although they can enter through unlocked windows and doors. If a bailiff visits, they can:
- Remain on your premises until a payment is made
- Get you to sign an agreement to pay. Goods will stay on the premises until payment is made. The bailiff will then leave
- Remove goods immediately
