Affordable Housing Developments for South Gloucestershire
Under the Read More on this page there is a table of Affordable Housing currently being developed in our area with various completion dates in 2011 (these dates are correct at time of publishing on the web).
The table refers to different types of Tenure:
- Properties for Social Rent mean that the rent is set at an affordable level below market rent levels.
- Properties for Intermediate Rent mean that the rent is set at a percentage below market rent levels for the area the property is in, therefore Intermediate Rent can be higher than Social Rent.
- Properties for Rent to HomeBuy means that the property is initially rented to a tenant for Intermediate Rent for an agreed period of time to allow the tenant to save up a deposit to then part buy the property as Shared Ownership.
- Properties for Shared Ownership means that the occupier has to buy a percentage of the property from a Housing Association and then pay rent on the remaining unsold equity.
- Properties for Extra Care mean that the occupier needs to be over a certain age and have need a certain amount of care each week.
