Volunteering for Walking to Health

The National Walking the Way to Health Initiative have recruited over 40,000 Volunteers who support and encourage people to become more physically active - you could join them.

Walking to Health in South Gloucestershire would not be possible without the support and dedication of our Volunteers, and we are always looking for more people to join the team so we can extend the services that we offer. Any time that you can give is a great help to us, whether it is once a week or once a month.

Quite simply the main task of a volunteer is to guide a group of walkers around a pre-described route. The Volunteers are the first to arrive at the venue so they can meet and greet the walkers and get everything organised before the walk. At the end of the walk they help to provide the all important refreshments so people can relax and catch up.

If you are a fun, friendly, sociable person that has some time to spare and you have been thinking about volunteering you could be great for our team.
