Planning applications

These applications forms should be used if you are applying for full planning permission (but excluding householder applications). These forms are to be submitted for a wide range of development activities including,

• Development for non residential premises, including shops, schools and hospitals
• change of use applications
• alteration to shop fronts
• large scale and major development proposals
• housing developments

The planning application forms also combine types of permission into one application, preventing needless duplication by the applicant. Full planning permission requiring advertisement consent, listed building consent or conservation area consent can be applied for on one of the forms below.

In the table below you will find links to

the Planning Application form.

• it’s associated help text which is designed to assist customers with the completion of the application form.

Without the correct supporting information, the planning application may be returned to the customer as invalid.

Guidance Notes that contains a short summary and further information about each of the validation requirements. These can be found in the “Read more” section of this page.
