Advice and signposting will be provided by our trained customer advisers, linked to the Children and Young People's Information Service who will:
- Answer queries about how to use the information
- Facilitate telephone and web links to additional or more specialist advice
- Provide a link to other services in the locality to include:
- Connexions
- Council One Stop Shops
- GP Surgeries
- Health Centres
- Health Visitors
- Housing Services
- Jobcentre Plus
- Maternity Services
- Schools
- Sure Start Children's Centres
- Voluntary Sector Services
- Youth Centres
- Youth Services
Where signposting or initial advice is not enough a member of the multi-agency duty service will meet with the parent/carer, child or young person to identify what is required.
To support this, the hub will provide:
- A multi-agency 'duty' service for more complex problems, facilitating timely access to specialist services for those in greatest need, for example, child protection services, youth housing, health services.
- Drop-in or arranged access to a range of activities; such as ante-natal services, parenting support, Connexions, social work.
