It is important that we regularly review progress to ensure that we are delivering our priorities in accordance with our expectations. This is something we do at all levels of the council.
Progress against the council’s priorities, set out in our key strategic plans such as the Community Strategy, Local Area Agreement (LAA) and Council Plan, are regularly monitored by the Local Strategic Partnership, Cabinet and Chief Officers. Specific elements are also monitored by departments, other strategic partnership bodies and select committees.
To support this overview of performance, the council has a set of strategic performance indicators that are monitored and reported to Cabinet on a quarterly basis.
These indicators are held on the council’s performance management system and are available to view using briefing books.
