Introduction
The Quality Assurance Team promotes the continuous development of high quality services across early years education, play and childcare providers primarily through our own quality assurance scheme 'For One Child and All Children'. See the 'Read more' section on this page. This scheme has been endorsed by the national SureStart 'Investors in Childcare' initiative.
Each provider is individually valued and offered a variety of user-friendly techniques to aid their development. These usually include:
- Quality support circles
- Mentoring
- In-service training
- Workshops
- A quality assurance (QA) survival guide and a manual
- Assessment and accreditation
Currently we are also developing a new introductory level to assist all providers to self-evaluate and develop their practice. This is now being piloted and hopefully will be available shortly.
