The National Standard Planning Application form (1APP) will be the only official method of submitting a planning application (except for minerals) after 6 April 2008.
Since February 2008, South Gloucestershire Council replaced it's existing application forms with the Standard Planning Application form (1APP), which coincided with the introduction of our adopted Local Planning Application Requirements.
Although available in paper format, the standard planning application form (1APP) will facilitate online submissions and will be used in conjunction with the Planning Portal Online Application service. The intelligent nature of the electronic form will help customers identify the correct planning consent required for the development and link to the associated mandatory and local Planning Application Requirements (PAR). You may apply online by using the Planning Portal online Application service. The website link to the Planning Portal is in the other websites section of this page.
Listed below are the links to the Standard Planning Application forms (1APP), the associated Help Text and the Planning Application Requirement (PAR) checklists.
Use of CD ROMS:
While we are willing to consider the submission of applications or supporting information by CD ROM where this will clearly assist in the consultation process or consideration of the application, any submission by CD Rom must be by prior agreement. If agreement has not been sought and given prior to the submission of the application, there is a risk that the application will be returned as invalid.
Please note if you submit the application in paper format we will require three copies of all details, including applications forms, plans and details
