We have agreed a five-year road safety plan as part of our Local Transport Plan for 2006 to 2011. The target of this strategy was a reduction in the number of children killed and seriously injured by 50%, by the year 2010.
We offer a number of services to ensure children are educated in road safety from a young age. The Department for Transport has produced the excellent THINK! road safety hedgehog website which has a number of interactive games and activities for children.
