  • Workhouse records
  • Electoral registers (to 1974)

A Window on the World

Archives can help us to understand national and international history.  Some important collections we hold include:

  • Granville Sharp and the abolition of the slave trade.
  • Ivor Gurney, First World War poet and musician.
  • Crimean war diaries of the Whitmore and Estcourt families.
  • Family and estate papers of Codrington of Doddington and Blathwayt of Dyrham.
