The café offers a friendly atmosphere and cheap food. Friendly youth workers are present at the sessions to help young people access information and guidance services such as health, housing, drugs and benefits advice. On Wednesday mornings the session is 'women's only' and includes a young mums group for mums up to the age of 23. There is also a creche available, (please ring for details). The service offers free access to the internet and a facility to assist young people with IT. Patchwork runs numerous free short courses chosen by young people on topics such as Indian head massage, basic skills in newsletter design, digital photography and 'how to be a DJ', giving young people the opportunity to learn and practise new skills. Opportunities are also available for volunteering and accreditation.
