The South Gloucestershire Wind Orchestra was formed in February 2009 to give our most gifted wind and percussion students the opportunity to work together in an intensive, four day course culminating with a performance.
The ensemble has fulfilled all expectations of excellence and plans are now in place for our 2011/12 with the course in the autumn will be at Little Stoke Primary School
The charge for the intensive 4 day course is £60.00 and does not come within the Passport scheme.

9.30 – 3.30pm at Little Stoke Primary School
Concert venue – The Olympus Theatre, Filton Campus, Filton - Sunday 19 February at 7.30, the rehearsal is from 2.00–6.00
The ensemble is open to any school age student of grade 5 and above in the South Gloucestershire area and membership is by audition. Application forms can be obtained from either senior schools or the Music Service. Richard Jones will conduct the Autumn course. Richard joins the Music Service as the new Music and Arts Strategy Manager from 1 September and has a wealth of wood wind experience.
