This programme enables stroke survivors to receive support to seek and maintain paid employment, voluntary work or further education. The project operates as an outreach programme so stroke survivors can request an appropriate place to meet. There will be an initial meeting to discuss the aims and goals of the stroke survivor.
Advice and guidance can be given on a variety of issues including interview techniques and writing a curriculum vitae (CV). Other aspects of the project includes; job ready training, sign posting to training and re-skilling courses, support into work placements and volunteering opportunities. Work placement hours can be specified by the stroke survivor and fit around their needs. Weekly meetings are arranged providing support, advice and guidance.
