New affordable homes

New affordable homes in South Gloucestershire are provided in a variety of ways:
  • On private developments under planning agreements
  • On private sites which are developed for 100 per cent affordable housing (including rural exceptions sites)
  • Existing properties bought on the open market
  • By leasing private sector properties for use as affordable housing on a temporary basis
  • By bringing empty properties back into use as affordable housing

Through housing association partners we provide the following types of housing:


  • Housing for affordable rent
  • Homes for low-cost home ownership
  • Temporary accommodation
