New affordable homes

New affordable homes in South Gloucestershire are provided in a variety of ways:  

    • on private developments under planning agreements 
    • on private sites which are developed for 100 per cent affordable housing (including rural exceptions sites) 
    • existing properties bought on the open market 
    • by leasing private sector properties for use as affordable housing on a temporary basis 
    • by bringing empty properties back into use as affordable housing


Through our partnerships we provide the following types of housing: 

    • housing for social and affordable rent 
    • homes for low-cost home ownership 
    • temporary accommodation
