The Asset Management and Capital Planning Section provides a strategic role in the planning and delivery of an efficient and effective school infrastructure for statutory aged pupils in South Gloucestershire.
It ensures that the Authority not only provides an adequate number of places, but that the accommodation provided is appropriate to the needs of the curriculum and supports a good quality learning environment.
This involves the development and implementation of the Local Authority's Asset Management Plan, the identification of land requirements, the provision of new places, including new schools, the removal of surplus places and the upgrading of existing schools through the delivery of the Education Capital Programme.
