Buggy walks

If you are interested in losing those extra few pounds put on during pregnancy, or are just looking to socialise with other parents in the fresh air, Walking to Health’s buggy walks offer both.

The walks take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month from Emersons Green Library starting at 10am. The parents are led by a walk leader on approximately a 45 minute walk around the area. They can then access the library after for a drink, baby feed and nappy change.

Health visitors recommend the group to anyone and everyone they can - families with new babies and people who are new to area with children of preschool age. These walks offer parents the opportunity to meet new friends as well as getting some fresh air and exercise, all of which play a big part in general well being. The feedback received has all been very positive - people have found the group very friendly and easy to access which was a priority as we know how daunting joining a group can be for some people. New members are joining all the time so no one feels like the only new face.

You can often see a group of parents/carers and their babies walking the streets of Emersons Green on a Wednesday.
