Children’s Trust Board in South Gloucestershire
Children’s trusts are a response to the need for agencies to work together and share relevant information so that they can better support the achievement and wellbeing of children and young people. The Children Act 2004 makes clear the duties of the Local Authority and partner agencies. Since 2008 local authorities are required to have in place arrangements for integrated working which focus on improving outcomes and shifting the emphasis from intervention to prevention. The components which underpin the South Gloucestershire approach are detailed in our Children and Young People Plan. Further details including minutes of the Children's Trust Board (formerly CYP strategic partnership) are available on our local democracy pages.
The Children and Young People's Partnership website has been developed so that partners across South Gloucestershire can share information. The senior officer group which has representatives from across agencies and sectors is really keen that all our partners should be able to find out about our shared developments easily, so this website has been established to do just that. All partners are able to contribute so we know the richness of information will increase along with its use.
