Hungarian goulash
Ingredients
- 1 kg (2lb 5oz) Beef (cut into strips)
- 1 large onion (finely chopped)
- Half teaspoon (heaped) of paprika
- Half teaspoon of garlic (approximately)
- 2 beef stock cubes
- Cornflour (to thicken if required)
Method
- Fry together beef strips and onion until browned
- Add paprika and garlic
- Dissolve stock cubes into about 1 litre of hot water and pour onto meat mixture
- Simmer for approximately 2-3 hours
- Thicken with cornflour if required after cooking time
- Serve with yellow rice
