Active holidays!
The Active for Life team are always on the look out for new ideas to encourage people to take part in more physical activity.
With the many children’s holiday clubs and play schemes on offer throughout South Gloucestershire, here is the ideal opportunity to encourage children to stay ‘Active for Life’!
Many holiday clubs have been offered free taster coaching sessions during their club to introduce new ideas to the children and leaders that could be rolled out over the rest of the summer holidays.
One play scheme run by Bitton Parish Council at Cherry Gardens School benefitted from two coaching sessions led by two community sports coaches. The play scheme ran a sports day during the last week of the holidays and were able to use some of the activity ideas introduced during the taster sessions.
