Safeguarding training and events

A training brochure has been designed to be readily accessible to staff from all agencies. It outlines the training programme for 2008-2009 as agreed by South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board (formerly the Area Child Protection Committee) and its sub-committees.

South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board (SGSCB) is committed to providing a comprehensive and effective training programme to agencies within South Gloucestershire. Training people together can make a significant contribution to building mutually respectful and trusting relationships, which form the foundation of any partnership working. The training programme aims to increase participants' knowledge and skills in the field of child protection and improve working relationships between agencies, in order to promote high quality service and improve outcomes for children, young people, their families and carers.

The training programme aims to promote anti-discriminatory practice and reflect cultural diversity and all courses should address these issues.
