The South Gloucestershire Environment Partnership is one of five strategic partnerships that reports to and advises the South Gloucestershire Local Strategic Partnership. It was set up in March 2007 and aims to co-ordinate and help deliver actions that support the protection and enhancement of the environment for future generations. It has a key role in ensuring that a high profile is given to environmental issues, that challenging targets are set and delivered and that the other partnerships take a low carbon and environmentally responsible approach to delivering their actions. The partnership has representation from a wide range of voluntary, community, statutory and commercial organisations. All meetings are open to the public and you are welcome to put questions to the partnership.

The Environment Forum (previously the Local Agenda 21 Forum) was set up in 1998, meets three times a year and has a wide membership. The forum provides the opportunity for people and organisations to get involved in the development of environmental policy and action and to make links with people with similar interests. If you would like to get involved in local environmental action or have an interest in environmental issues you are welcome to attend Forum meetings.
The next Environment Forum meeting will be on Wednesday 11th June from 7pm-9:15pm - the venue and agenda for this meeting are to be confirmed. Please contact the Sustainability Team sustainability@southglos.co.uk for further details.
