Section 52 budget statement 2007 - 2008
The budget statement is the means of informing schools and the public in general, about the funding plans for the year.
Local education authorities are required, under Section 52 of the Standards and Framework Act of 1998, to prepare and publish a budget statement for the year.
The size of the Local Schools Budget (LSB) and the amounts to be allocated to each factor, depend on budget decisions taken by the local authority (LA) before the beginning of the financial year.
The cash values of the pupil units of resource and other items that go to make up the Individual Schools Budget (ISB) then depend on the formula.
The budget statement is the means of informing schools and the public in general, about the funding plans for the year.
