Kingswood Civic Centre is due to be refurbished in the summer of 2010 and the building will close for a period of 12 months. The refurbishment will provide a modern, energy-efficient building for staff, councillors and members of the public to use.
While the building is closed staff will be re-located to Nibley Court in Yate. Full council meetings will continue to be held in Kingswood until work begins on the council chamber and will then be held either at Nibley Court or Thornbury.
Work on the new One Stop Shop will be carried out at the start of the refurbishment so there is as little disruption to service as possible. Details on any changes to services as a result of the building work will be available next year.
