Sport - PE association

Primary schools core offer (over 80% of schools signed up)

Aim of the association is to aid in the development of Physical Education, physical activity and school sport in its widest sense and to provide information, opportunities and support for its members.

Prior to the introduction of the School Sports Partnerships (SSP) it ran a full programme of festivals, tournaments, talent development for young people and professional development for teachers across the authority. When partnerships developed it reviewed and revised its programmes to support the SSP’s and ran the large authority wide events such as the Football leagues, tournaments, swimming fiesta, cross country and indoor athletics.

The association will continue to provide this low cost core offer to provide a wide range of services and opportunities that can be adaptable, flexible and respond to the unique needs of your school.
