Compliments and Suggestions

Help us to get it right
When dealing with the Council there will be times when we exceed your expectations and you may wish to compliment the team or individual you have dealt with. This may be when a member of staff goes 'the extra mile' for you and provides exceptional service.


Any individuals mentioned in a compliment will have it highlighted in a team meeting or during their appraisal in recognition of their good work.  Compliments will also be used to see if success in one service area can be used to improve others.


You may also have suggestions on how Council services can be improved.


When a suggestion is received it will be considered by a senior officer or manager for the service concerned. If the suggestion is then implemented and results in a service improvement, we will feed this back to the customer who made the original suggestion.

What you can expect

The Council's Compliments, Suggestions and Complaints procedure ensures that all compliments and suggestions are recorded and acknowledged within 2 working days.  

All compliments and suggestions are recorded centrally by the Council, and we will inform you of any service changes resulting from your feedback.
